Shimla will always be home

I'm home! My mum and I have managed to find two weeks to come and spend it here in Shimla. We've been coming here for all summer holidays for as long as I can remember since my grandparents have a home here.

And this is the view from one side of home. I admit that Shimla doesn't look this devoid of human existence as the picture above. It is pretty commercial now but the photo is just 2 years old. (plus I took it very strategically :)

Usually we all come here together and help my nani (maternal grandma) to clean up the house and have everything up and running. But this time it's just mum and me. We have been given our instructions, let the cleaning begin!

There are curtains to change, pillow covers to remove, dusting to do, loos to clean etc etc. And though this house feels empty without hearing chatter and laughter, not seeing somebody nap in a room or fight over how many peaches they ate, I am not sad. (not completely) Because company is arriving in a few days, some friends are coming for a week and I'm getting excited just thinking of everything that we're going to do.

There are going to be afternoon walks, lovely things to eat, board games to play and my special favourite is watching episodes of the Sherlock Holmes as played by Jeremy Brett.

Well this has been quite a personal post hasn't it! I must leave you and go eat dinner but hopefully I will be able to post more tomorrow with pictures!

A Moment Today

I was walking. At my pace doing work for another. not running around on a deadline. It was slightly breezy but warm. I walked the short walk to the canteen, the path way completely empty.I walked on and the soft sun poured into my face.
Then the feeling came. The thankful-ness of the body for the moment, the contentment, of feeling tall and moving forward.
And loving the feel of the feeling.

Back from cold and happy space

Okay, so now I am completely back and here to stay(hopefully).
I'm back from the mountains I love going to whenever I get the chance. Now, unfortunately  my holidays have come to an end and its time to face the consequences of the terrible first term exams:(

School starts this monday and of course I'm dreading it.But I've still got fight left in me and the following 2 days I am no way going to give up.I've got enough inspiration in me that whatever the result I have other things to lean on.

so Happy Weekend folks.I'll report back on monday and let you know how it went.

p.s- I have quite a lot of holiday photos accumulating and would love to share them with you, so some photos to follow as well :)

Good Looking Weather.

Today was such a pretty day. The weather was windy but still sunny enough to make you sweat. The weather looked really gorgeous but it didn't feel good.
There was :
- sunshine which made every tree shimmer green gold
- all types of clouds in lovely grey and fluffy white.
    - hallelujah clouds (brilliant sunshine peaking from behind clouds)
    - popcorn/mushroom clouds
    - with the general back ground of leopard print cloud (cirrocumulus clouds)

Now the clouds in Delhi have no creativity as I have seen in Shimla or Scotland( the clouds!! ).
But today was bliss.
Sadly my camera was not fully charged and died before the day was out.I took some pictures from my phone but the were terribly grainy. :(

Anyway.Enjoy!

Have a Great week!

Today was spent looking up really cool photoblogs (some pictures to follow). I found 2-3 photographers who had the most gorgeous pictures ever!

As for tonight I hope to be up until I successfully learn at least 2 bars of 9-crimes by Damien Rice and Dawn by Dario Marianelli from the Pride and Prejudice soundtrack. This is all the result of surfing online last night and finding the coolest site for piano sheet music .

Good night I will post tomorrow writing about how amazing Iron Man 2!

Picture by Kenny Weng a photographer from Denmark who has the most amazing rainy sky photos.
