Just a really off putting age difference between characters.
That was it.I stopped reading.
There it lay on the bottom of my book stack gathering dust.Waiting.

"Romola Garai plays the best Emma, you and mum HAVE TO see it" she said.
"ya-ya. I'll watch it sometime." I said

After a long time I saw a film where I know what is happening. what's going to happen. And still feel what I'm supposed to while watching it.
Like screaming at the screen-"stop being soo stupid Emma, you like him! God I need to fast-forward.I feel embarrassed for her."
Like getting those bubbles in my stomach when she and Knightly dance.
And how my heart swells every time it ends and I have this silly grin on my face.
And tonight what my copy of the novel has been waiting for will happen.
It will be dusted off, smelt and read.
p.s- the soundtrack is good too:)
